SCITUATE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Seven Southern New Englanders are charged with driving drunk on Rhode Island highways on New Year's Eve.

On Wednesday, Rhode Island State Police revealed the names of six Rhode Islanders and one Massachusetts woman accused driving under the influence during the holiday:

  • Anup Mohanty, 25, East Greenwich
  • Silverio Hernandez, 36, Providence
  • Anthony DiGiovengiacomo, 40, Providence
  • Viriato Baptista, 24, Pawtucket
  • Lauren Dennehy, 23, Wrentham
  • Vincente Sanabria, 38, Central Falls
  • Agustin Riz, 29, Providence

According to a State Police press release, three of the suspects were also charged with refusing to submit to a chemical test. 

Two of the suspects who agreed to take the breathalyzer test registered more than twice the legal blood-alcohol limit.
