JOHNSTON, R.I. (WPRI) - Authorities have arrested a man in connection with a samurai sword attack.
Johnston police took Michael Gomes, 24, into custody Thursday night and charged him with felony assault with a dangerous weapon.
He is accused of attacking a man outside a Johnston home with a samurai sword last weekend.
Gomes was ordered held on $20,000 bail with surety. He is due in court Friday.
