BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WPRI) - Seven people are taken to the hospital after a head on collision in Pascoag.

Police state that the driver of the minivan, Frank Hopkins of Harrisville, was driving south on South Main Street around 8:15 on Monday night. A pickup truck driven by Christopher Schabowski of Pascoag tried to pass the van when the two cars collided.

Burrillvile officers state that speed was a factor in the crash and alcohol may have been involved.
