Exit ramp closure on I-295 next week
Exit 8B to Route 7 North will close for road work

NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WPRI) -- Exit 8B off I-295 North in Smithfield will temporarily close next week.
RIDOT officials said Friday that the exit, which leads to Route 7 North towards Bryant University, will close from 9am-2pm Tuesday, Wednsday, and Thursday. Crews will be performing drainage work during those times.
Drivers should take Exit 9B to Route 146, then loop back to 295 South and take Exit 8B.
More information is available via RIDOT's Customer Service office at 401-222-2450 from 7:30am to 4pm Monday through Friday.
