Smithfield man arrested for child molestation
Accused of sexually assaulting 4-year-old girl

JOHNSTON, R.I. (WPRI) -- A Smithfield man is being held without bail after being accused of sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl.
Lance Nicoletti, 26, is charged with first-degree child molestation in connection with the incident, which allegedly occurred Thursday night at a Johnston home.
Police say Nicoletti has a previous conviction for making obscene phone calls. He's been ordered to have no contact with any child under the age of 16.
He's due back in court on August 30 for a bail review.
