JOHNSTON, R.I. (WPRI) - Police in Johnston are investigating a serious head-on collision.
It happened on Hartford Avenue, near Brown Avenue around 10:30 p.m Sunday night.
There were reports of victims trapped, and several ambulances were called.
According to police, the two drivers were taken to Rhdoe Island Hospital.
One person has already been released, the other was held overnight with non-life threatening injuries.
Following the accident, the road was closed for several hours as Johnston police investigated.
