WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WPRI) -- A driver made a wrong turn and ended up stuck in the middle of a frozen pond.

It happened at Cass Park near Woonsocket High School just before 8 a.m.

Investigators say the driver crashed through a wood fence while trying to take a right hand turn off Elm Street, then crashed through a guardrail.

Police and firefighters were called to the scene to rescue the driver.

She was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
