NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WPRI) - About 200 people were evacuated from the North Attleboro Walmart after cracks were spotted on a wall inside the building.

North Attleboro Fire Chief Peter Lamb tells Eyewitness News the cracks are a result of heavy snow and ice on top of the store's roof.

Lamb says the damage was spotted on an interior wall right near the store's entrance and exit. He says store employees first noticed it around 10 a.m. Wednesday, but called fire officials around 6 p.m. after the cracks began getting larger.

The chief says the North Attleboro building official was on scene along with structural engineers from Walmart.

The store is closed until further notice.

No one was injured.
