(WPRI) -- The number of cases in a nationwide meningitis outbreak has risen, and it's claimed the life of one more person.
Officials report that Texas is the latest of a dozen states where 185 cases have now been reported.
So far, 14 deaths are linked to the outbreak.
The outbreak has been linked to steroid injections from a Massachusetts compounding pharmacy.
There have been no confirmed cases in Rhode Island or Massachusetts thus far.
