WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WPRI) - Police in Woonsocket are taking a unique approach to solve an unsolved murder case. Seventeen year-old Brandon Smith was shot and killed outside his house on Robinson Street back in June.
No one has come forward with any information. Now police in uniform and detectives in plain clothes are going door to door with flyers.
The police department was awarded a half-million dollar federal grant to enable the department to re-instate its crime tipline for confidential call.
If anyone has information they can call the anonymous line at 769-4444.
