(WPRI) - Gov. Don Carcieri is making a prime-time televised address tonight to unveil a budget plan that seeks to close a massive deficit.
The governor has warned that Rhode Island faces unprecedented budget challenges that will require difficult decisions. The state is looking at a $357 million shortfall for the year ending in June, and it could be worse after that.
