WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) - Members of the Warwick Police Department's Special Operations Group are investigating reports of prostitution said to be taking place at a Post Road address.

The group, along with Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE), executed a search warrant Thursday afternoon at 1550B Post Road. Police said although they have not arrested anyone at this time, three women are being questioned at the scene.

Police said they executed the search warrant after finding evidence of possible prostitution activity at the Post Road location during a two week probe.

Police said members of DAYONE, a Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Advocacy Agency helped authorities conduct the investigation.

Police also said there is no connection between the ongoing controversy over legislative loopholes involving prostitution laws and the decision to execute the search warrant. The investigation is on-going at this time.
