ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WPRI) - Police have released more information about Saturday's fatal car accident on 95N at exit 2, just over the Attleboro and Pawtucket line.
State police tell Eyewitness News 20-year-old Matthew Kercado of Taunton died in the crash; along with a 3 year-old child.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a 1997 Ford Explorer operated by a 23 year-old Jessica Ebert from Attleboro struck a 1996 Chevrolet operated by a 18 year-old Jennifer Poissant from Pawtucket, RI .
That's when the 1997 Ford Explorer rolled over ejecting some occupants and fatally injuring the 3 year-old and Kercado.
A 14 month old Juvenile, a 42 year-old Heather Kercado from Taunton, 40 year-old Christopher Ebert from Boston and Jessica Ebert were transported to local hospitals with injuries.
Poissant, the operator of the 1996 Chevrolet was not injured.
This crash remains under investigation with the assistance of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section.
The highway was closed for approximately 1 ½ hours for the crash investigation and vehicle removal.
