PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Police in Roxbury, Massachusetts arrested over the weekend a man wanted in connection with two bank robberies in Rhode Island.
Dennis Tasker is accused of robbing a Sovereign Bank on Thayer Street in Providence and another Sovereign Bank on Thames St. in Newport last week.
In both crimes, the suspect's picture was caught on surveillance cameras.
According to police, Tasker was recently released from the Adult Correctional Institutions in Cranston and has a long history of arrests. In fact, police in Roxbury made the arrest while investigating Tasker for a separate crime.
