RI dog wins at Westminster Dog Show

NEW YORK (WPRI) - The Westminster Dog Show is underway in New York City, and a local pooch is among the finalists.

According to our news partners at the Providence Journal, Echo, a Kerry Blue Terrier, won the title of Best of Breed.

Echo is owned by three people from Pascoag, Rhode Island. Tuesday, Echo will compete with other breeds for Best in Group. The winner of that contest will compete for Best in Show on Wednesday.

Echo's father won the title of Best of Breed in 2007.
