PROVIDENCE, R.I (WPRI) - Hundreds of city workers protest outside a fundraising event for Providence Mayor David Cicilline.

The protestors are upset with plans to change their health insurance from Blue Cross Blue Shield to United Health Care. The change in health care is expected to save the city millions of dollars over course of several years.

But local union leaders and city workers are concerned about an increase in costs.

The change is expected to occur in January.
