Providence Police have a warrant out for the arrest of a bank robbery suspect.
Detectives believe 38-year-old Dennis R. Tasker is the man who walked into a Sovereign Bank at 212 Thayer Street around 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, walked up to a teller and showed a note reading, "I have a gun, give me the money." The robber did not show the gun.
Tasker is described as 5' 9", 150 lbs., and white.
The police's original description of the robber was a white male, clean shaven, blue eyes, about 5' 8" tall, 20-30 years old, wearing a light blue shirt with stripes, tan pants, and a blue cap.
After getting the cash, the robber ran off.
The case is also featured on the Rhode Island's Most Wanted web site.
Police are now looking for Tasker. If you have any idea where he is, you're asked to contact Det. Steve Gencarella at 401-243-6406.
