PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - A Boston University graduate student from Rhode Island, accused of illegally downloading and sharing songs online will be back in federal court Tuesday.

The music industry claims Joel Tenenbaum downloaded at least seven songs in 2004 and made music files available on the Kazaa file-sharing network. It is now seeking more than $1 million in a lawsuit.

Lawyers for the music industry will ask for access to Tenenbaum's parents' computer. They want to inspect the computer for proof of copyright infringement.

A lawyer for the Tenenbaum's says the computer was not the one on which the alleged downloading took place. They say they did not own the computer when their son was living with them.

The lawsuit against Tenenbaum is part of the music industry's campaign against people who share music online.
