Providence, RI (WPRI) - Providence police are investigating two different stabbings that occurred during the early morning hours on Saturday. The first attack took place on Broad Street, the second on South Water Street.
Police were called to Broad Street around two a.m. Saturday morning where a 27-year-old man was stabbed in the back. Authorities were able to take a suspect into custody in connection with the crime but no one has been formally charged.
The second stabbing occurred on South Water Street. A 21-year-old man was stabbed in the side. Police are still searching for a suspect.
Both victims are now recovering from non-life threatening injuries and police continue to investigate both incidents.
