Man hurt in fall from 2nd-story porch

Police say victim was visiting a friend

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - A man was hurt Monday night when he fell off of a second-story porch on Denison Street in Providence, police said.

The accident happened around 10:30 p.m. Police told Eyewitness News the man tumbled to the ground when a section of railing on the porch gave way. He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police said the man was visiting a friend at the Denison Street home. They are still investigating the incident.
