PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - The owners of Level II nightclub in Providence are schedule to go before the city's Board of Licenses Thursday afternoon. Police are trying to have the club shut down, citing 22 incidents since November 2007.
According to police, the offenses range from violence and rowdiness at the club to serving underage customers.
On Dec. 6, Jeremy Olearnick, of Norwich Conn., was stabbed to death in a parking lot near the nightclub.
And most recently, a bouncer was stabbed in the back on April 5.
In that case, the victim, Terrence McNamara, told police a bar patron got out of control and threw a drink on another customer. That is when McNamara was stabbed.
