Two Cranston men accused of being involved with the stabbing death of a 22-year-old Connecticut man are scheduled to be arraigned Monday.
According to Providence Police, 22-year-old Jeremy M. Olearnick of Norwich, Conn. was stabbed in the area of Chestnut and Friendship Streets after a night out in Providence Saturday.
Police said he was returning to his vehicle from a night club when he was confronted by Narin Kheng, 27, and Antonio DiSano, 19, both of Cranston. Police said the two suspects then assault Olearnick, and one of them stabbed him.
Emergency crews took Olearnick to Rhode Island Hospital, where he later died.
Eyewitnesses who saw the incident pointed police in the direction the two men ran. Sgt. Paul Renzi found Kheng and DiSano on Chestnut St, a short distance away from where they found the victim.
Renzi arrested the suspects without incident and took them to Providence Police Headquarters. Kheng is charged with murder and DiSano is charged with simple assault.
