Gym owner indicted on arson charges

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - A Pawtucket man accused of setting his own gym on fire has been indicted by a grand jury. Gary Gaudreau is scheduled to answer to arson and other charges in Providence Superior Court on July 22nd.

Police say Gaudreau set the fire that gutted the Physique Company on York Avenue back in March. Gaudreau was the owner of the fitness center. Police said they became suspicious, after parts of Gaudreau's story did not add up. An eyewitness reported seeing him at the gym shortly before the fire broke out. Police said they found burns on Gaudreau's leg, after they arrested him.
