NEWPORT, R.I. (WPRI) - The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority has launched a blog to help keep the public up to date on information regarding the new E-ZPass system on the Newport Pell Bridge.
The blog can be found on the RITBA website , and has a space for open dialog. The chairman of the RITBA, David Darlington, says he will be checking the blog on a regular basis to respond to questions and monitor feedback.
E-ZPass is an electronic toll collection system. Drivers with transponders can pass through the lanes at the toll booth without stopping, and the toll is deducted automatically from their debit accounts.
