NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) - Health officials are warning residents that this mosquito threat remains high, despite the fact that there have been no human cases of West Nile Virus this year in Southeastern Massachusetts.
According to the Department of Health, mosquitoes that are out now through the first hard frost, are more dangerous than those from June and July because they have been exposed to viruses and are more likely to bite people.
