NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WPRI) - Rhode Island State Officials have broken ground on a new, environmentally friendly bath house at Salty Brine Beach in Narragansett.

The 2,400 square foot facility will be powered by green technology, including a small wind turbine and solar panels on the roof.

Construction means there will be fewer parking spaces for beachgoers this summer.

The project is expected to be finished by Memorial Day of 2010.
