PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man on Trask Street in Providence Sunday night.
Police said a man in his early twenties died at the scene of what is said to be the city's fourth homicide this week. Police had responded to the fatal shooting less than one hour after investigating a prior shooting that also happened on Trask Street.
The unidentified male victim in that shooting was taken to Rhode Island Hospital after being grazed by a bullet. Providence detectives are interviewing the victim, who is said to be recovering.
According to eyewitnesses, an argument may have occurred prior to the fatal shooting. Providence police are investigating the shootings.
