Gas leak evacuates Coventry homes

COVENTRY, R.I. (WPRI) - A major gas leak happened overnight in Coventry. Firefighters evacuated several homes on Honeylocust Court shortly before midnight.

Firefighters say the leak was on the outside of one of the homes.

National Grid came in and secured it. Everyone was allowed back in early Thursday morning.

No one was hurt.
