Worker critical after falling off truck

Fall River employee is critically injured

A Department Of Public Works employee is critically injured after falling off the back of a truck.

The garbage truck was on its usual pick-up route on Nichols Street in Fall River when the worker fell, injuring his head.

The Fall River Police Department says the man is fighting for his life. The worker remains at Charleton Hospital.

The Massachusetts State Police truck team and the Fall River Police Department continue to investigate the accident.
