SWANSEA, Mass. (AP/WPRI) - Crews are still working on 195 east in Swansea, cleaning up from Sunday's fuel spill. In fact, state police tell Eyewitness News two lanes are still closed right now.

State police yesterday said 55-year-old Kim Kilbreth suffered minor injuries after the tanker spilled an estimated 8,500 gallons of fuel in the 5:40 a.m. crash on Route 195 East.

The crash shut down I-195 in both directions, creating huge backups as traffic was divereted onto Route six.

Firefighters say some of the gas seeped into nearby wetlands. But added,  it was not immediately clear how the fuel spill will affect the environment.

All lanes of Route 195 westbound were opened at 4:50 p.m., together with the left and middle travel lanes of Route 195 eastbound. The right lane and breakdown lane remains closed.

Investigations continue.
