Boston, Mass. (WPRI) - Testimony has ended in the kidnapping case against the man known as Clark Rockfeller.

The final witness was a psychiatrist, who said he believes Rockefeller exaggerated his symptoms and was not insane when he kidnapped his 7-year-old daughter.

Rockefeller, whose real name is Christian Karl Gerhartsreiter, is a serial re-inventer of himself, some have said a con, but the defense’s psychiatric expert, Keith Ablo told jurors, he’s sure Rockefeller wasn’t conning him.

Ablo said Rockefeller’s delusional state wasn’t helped by a marriage to someone, management consultant Sandra Boss, who didn’t question his stories.

Dr. James Chu is a clinical psychiatrist, a witness for the prosecution, who examined Rockefeller and found nothing delusional.

Jurors are expected to begin deliberating the case Monday, after hearing closing arguments from prosecutors and defense attorneys.
