MBTA can not justify raising fares

BOSTON, MASS., (WPRI) - Massachusetts Governor, Deval Patrick, says the state can not justify raising MBTA fares for the  next few years until the agency regains the confidence of the public.

Right now, it costs an adult $4.00 for a round trip ticket on the "T."

Governor Patrick says he can't however, guarantee that farew would not be increased in the next 5 to 6 years.
