BOSTON, MASS (WPRI) - He's known as the suspected "Craigslist killer."
Philip Markoff is accused of luring a woman to a Boston hotel and then killing her, he's also accused of assaulting another woman who posted an ad on craigslist.com.
So, who is Philip Markoff?
On Tuesday, Eyewitness News set out to find out and to get reaction from his friends and fiancé.
Mackoff is a 22-year-old medical student, he's clean-cut and has no prior criminal record, still, police say he is the craislist killer and the news is shocking to his neighbors.
"He came over, had some beers with us one night, seemed like a nice guy."
But that seemingly nice guy is charged with murder, kidnapping and armed robbery, the alleged incidents all happening within the month.
"I haven't seen him for a couple of weeks it seems like. Usually I see him everyday."
Markoff's fiancé, Megan McAllister, says police have the wrong guy, in an email she said quote "couldn't hurt a fly." McAllister plans to marry Markoff in August and hopes to share a wonderful and meaningful life with him.
A former classmate says that at times, Markoff made comments that sounded mysoginistic.Markoff is a native of upstate New York and recieved his bachelors from Suny Albany.
He's currently a second year student at Boston University Medical School, a spokesperson says he was suspended after his arrest.
