KINGSTON, R.I. (WPRI) - The case of two former URI students facing rape charges is scheduled to begin in court on Wednesday.
Defense attorneys for Yaw Peprah of Lincoln and Estifanos Gizaw of Houston, Texas are expected to deliver their opening statements.
The two are accused of raping a female student in a dorm room in 2008 after a party.
Pephrah and Gizaw have both pleaded not guilty to first-degree sexual assault.
