NEW YORK (AP) - Local toy maker Hasbro, Inc. says it will make and market toys and games based on well-known Sesame Street characters.
Financial terms of the deal between Hasbro and Sesame Workshop have not been disclosed. Elmo, Big Bird, and Cookie Monster are some of the favorites faces that shoppers will see.
The products will be in stores starting in 2011. Hasbro, the nation's second largest toy maker, is permitted to make the merchandise for 10 years.
Hasbro Inc., based in Pawtucket, makes other big market toys, including Transformers and G.I. Joe products.
