FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) - A former Fall River radio host is facing assault and battery charges, after police arrested him over the weekend.

Michael Herren, 39, is accused of beating his girlfriend. Police said they found her Saturday with injuries to her face and neck.

Herren was known as "The Hurricane Mike Herren" on WSAR. He is also accused of assaulting a man last June.
