NEWPORT, R.I. (WPRI) - An estimated 200,000 people are expected to flock to Newport this weekend for the Ocean State Tall Ships Festival.
Some of the 14 ships arrived to the city by the sea on Thursday including "The Pride of Baltimore" and "The Peacemaker".
The festival starts Friday and runs through Monday.
Unlike previous festivals, this year it will be based out of one location in the downtown waterfront area to maximize the economic impact on the city's restaurants, shops and hotels.
Organizers expect the event to bring in nearly $20 million to the city.
You can purchase tickets at the Tall Ships website .
