PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (WPRI) -- The Portsmouth High School marching band will participate in President Obama's inaugural parade Monday.

The "Patriots" spent the week practicing and will be leaving from Portsmouth High School at 11 a.m. Sunday.  Monday's inaugural parade starts at 2:30 p.m. and will head down Pennsylvania Avenue to the White House.

Portsmouth High's marching band will be one of sixty groups, 8,000 people and eight floats, according to the White House.  The Patriots will be in Division Five, near the end of the parade, slightly behind the United States Coast Guard in the marching order.

Coverage of the President's inauguration starts at 8:30 a.m. on WPRI12 and live streaming here on WPRI.com.
