NEWPORT, R.I. (WPRI) - A Newport father accused of fatally beating his 6-week-old daughter has been indicted on one count of murder by a Newport County Grand Jury.
Rachin McCoy was arrested in early February. His daughter Naomi died days after being brought to the hospital with serious injuries to her head, torso, arms and legs.
McCoy is scheduled to be arraigned in Newport County Superior Court on Tuesday.
