TIVERTON, R.I. (AP) -- Tiverton police say they attached a GPS device to the car of a burglary suspect, tracked her and watched her commit a crime.
Police tell the Newport Daily News they watched 24-year-old Lauryn Raposo enter a home on Karen Avenue Tuesday through a casement window and come out the from door with a small safe. She was charged with three counts of breaking and entering.
Police say they had identified Raposo as a suspect in a string of break ins and were able to get a judge to approve the use of the GPS device, which they attached to her car.
Raposo, who was on probation at the time, was ordered held without bail after her arraignment in District Court in Newport on Wednesday.
