CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) - The first drawing of the brand new New England lottery game, Lucky for Life, was won in Massachusetts -- but plenty of Rhode Islanders were winners as well.

The Rhode Island Lottery says 20,388 tickets sold in the Ocean State were winners in Thursday night's Lucky For Life game. Two RI tickets did win $2,000 each.

Lucky for Life is now being drawn every Monday and Thursday night at regular lottery vendors in Rhode Island that sell The Numbers pick 4 game, and Powerball.

The numbers are drawn in Connecticut at approximately 10:38 PM. For Rhode Island, the drawings can be seen after the fact on the web site http://www.neluckyforlife.com/.

Thursday night's winning ticket was purchased at Myette's Country Store in Hanover, Mass.
