BARRINGTON, R.I. (WPRI) -- Officials from the Department of Transportation hope to start accepting bids for the White Church Bridge replacement project.
The failing overpass carries Massasoit Avenue over the Barrington River.
The DOT wants to begin construction this fall and finish by the end of 2015.
Right now, there is a weight limit on the bridge that prohibits heavy trucks from crossing, including the town fire department's ladder truck.
