BARRINGTON, R.I. (WPRI) -- A former x-ray technician is accused of secretly recording videos of female patients.

Kristian Laferriere, 30, was arraigned Tuesday on two counts of video voyeurism.

Barrington police said they began investigating Laferriere after a 16-year-old girl and her mother filed a complaint against him. He was working as an x-ray technician at Barrington Urgent Care at the time.

According to Chief John LaCross, the teenager went to Barrington Urgent Care for chest x-rays. Police said while she was changing, she noticed a cell phone propped up against a window recording her.

"They confronted the technician, who gave some excuse as to why the phone was there," LaCross said. "The mother wasn't satisfied with that."

State police searched Laferriere's phone, and said they found videos of two women in their twenties that were recorded in the same x-ray room in January.

Barrington police said Tuesday they were concerned there could be more victims.

"We don't know how many pictures he may have been taking," said Detective Lt. Dino DeCrescenzo.

State police are still reviewing the evidence found on Laferriere's phone.

Following his arraignment, Laferriere was released on $10,000 personal recognizance. A judge ordered him not to return to work at Barrington Urgent Care, or to seek employment at any other medical facility.

He is scheduled to return to court in September.
