NEWPORT, R.I. (AP) -- A fleet of historic and classic yachts -- some nearly a century old -- are participating in the 33rd annual Classic Yacht Regatta in Newport, R.I.
The event is on Saturday and Sunday and is based out of the Museum of Yachting at Fort Adams State Park.
In addition to two days of racing, the event will feature a parade of classic yachts on Sunday morning.
The race is the finale of the North American Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge, which also includes regattas in Marblehead and Nantucket, Mass.
The regatta is sponsored by the Museum of Yachting.
