EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Bicyclists and walkers will have limited access to the East Bay Bike Path this summer.

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation has announced that access to the East Bay Bike Path will be limited on Monday, June 28.

Survey crews will be performing a video inventory of the bike path . They will be recording images of pavement condition, signs, pavement markings, trees, etc.

During the survey project, video images will be taken every 50 feet. A 7'2" wide vehicle will be travelling slowly down one direction of the path as it works.

Crews are scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

RIDOT says more paths will be surveyed throughout the summer.
