CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) - Local production company, Verdi Corrente Productions , has wrapped production on its first feature film, Inkubus.

The horror film stars Robert Englund - the original Freddy Krueger. It also stars William Forsythe of Halloween, and Joey Fatone of *NSYNC.

Michael Corrente, a Pawtucket-native, says "What started as a small horror project has turned into a smashing success."

Inkubus is about a skeleton crew working the final shift at a soon-to-be demolished police station. The night takes a gruesome turn when the demon, Inkubus (Englund) shows up with a severed head.

The movie was filmed in Cranston and New York City.

VCP has launched the

official website for Inkubus

. Director Glenn Ciano says "We'll be putting up behind the scenes footage, teasers and trailers, and plan to run a massive contest starting very soon."

Inkubus is the first of four films VCP will produce within the next year - including Loosies, starring Twilight-star Peter Facinelli, horror-flick Infected, and Paz, the story of Rhode Island boxer, Vinny Pazienza.

Loosies will go into pre-production on Monday.
