Landmark could become Catholic hospital

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WPRI) - There are new details on merger plans for Landmark Medical Center.
According to the Boston Globe , Caritas Christi Health Care plans to convert the Woonsocket hospital into a Catholic hospital if its asset-and-purchase agreement is approved.
That means Landmark would no longer provide sterilization services like tubal ligation.
The merger still requires approval from a judge, the Dept. of Health and the Attorney General.
