Inauguration for Pawtucket's new mayor

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) - An inauguration ceremony will be held for Pawtucket Mayor-elect Don Grebien Monday.

Governor-elect Lincoln Chafee and other members of the City Council and School Committee will be on hand. The event is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Monday at Tolman High School.

Governor-elect Chafee will administer the swearing-in ceremony.

The ceremony will be preceded by a Mass at St. Teresa Church on Newport Avenue at 3:30 p.m.

Monday evening's inauguration is ceremonial. Grebien was officially sworn into office 8 a.m. Monday inside City Council Chambers at City Hall.
