Hasbro workers to help tornado victims

Will unload, distribute donated items

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) - Several Hasbro employees are taking part in tornado recovery efforts in Western Massachusetts.

Volunteers boarded at bus at Hasbro headquarters in Pawtucket Monday morning to travel to the area hardest hit by the tornadoes earlier this month .

According to Hasbro, the volunteers will help the Salvation Army unload, sort, and distribute donations such as food and clothing. They will also help run a voucher program to provide victims with new furniture.

Hasbro said those employees who volunteered will be given a full day off with pay.
