PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) - The city of Pawtucket has banned a new adult business from opening inside the Grant Building on Main Street.
Megan Andelloux planned to open the Center for Sexual Pleasure on Saturday. She says the business was supposed to provide classes and information on sexual health. But now city officials have informed Andelloux the area is not zoned for "educational" use.
Andelloux says her business is not a so-called spa. Other tenants in the building are also coming to her defense.
"As far as I know, she is a wonderful, intelligent, well-educated woman who does therapy," Karen Pace, a cafe owner, tells us.
Andelloux has scheduled a meeting with the Pawtucket Mayor on Thursday.
